Renua publishes its election manifesto

The 'three strikes' policy which is contained in their manifesto launched today would apply to burglary, child sex abuse and other serious crimes.

The party's made some changes to its 'flat tax rate' policy, increasing the income top ups given to those on the minimum wage so that they are not worse off, but admits it would still bring in 3.5 billion euro a year less than income tax does now.

Party leader Lucinda Creighton says they are the only opposition party serious about being in Government after the election.
