A post mortem is due to take place this morning on the body of a woman discovered in County Wicklow yesterday.
The remains were discovered in a shed just outside Ashford, during the search for missing 47-year-old Anne Shortall, who had been missing since Good Friday.
A 38-year-old man arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with the investigation remains in garda custody this morning.
Gardaí have also sealed off a second site, around 10 kilometres away from where the body was discovered.
Crime reporter with the Irish Daily Mirror Garreth McNamee says Gardai are investigating whether Ms Shortall died in a different location to where she was found.
