Secondary teachers say they won't tolerate staff being paid different salaries for doing the same work.
Their union, the ASTI, says colleagues hired after 2010 aren't being paid enough and they're voting on industrial action.
The Education Minister Richard Bruton says he can't see any reason to strike.
