Mayor of Clonmel unhappy Sinn Féin row went public

A Sinn Féin Councillor says a public row within the party in Tipperary needs to be resolved.

The local Comhairle Ceantair recently passed a motion of no confidence in North Tipp representative Seamie Morris.

They claim it came on the back of months of difficulties with him – however Councillor Morris says he has no case to answer and will fight efforts to have him expelled from the party.

For her part Mayor of Clonmel Catherine Carey is confident the issue will be resolved.

However speaking on Tipp Today she said it could have been handled better.
