Plans lodged for development of Clonmel business park

A major planning application has been lodged for a development at a Clonmel business park.

The plans relate to the revamped Ard Gaoithe Business Park on the outskirts of the town.

Glenconnor Developments Ltd is seeking planning permission from Tipperary County Council for a significant new venture at Ard Gaoithe Business Park in Clonmel.

If given the green light it would provide a petrol filling station, shop, restaurant, toilets and jet wash to the front of the site on the Cashel road.

The plans also include new entrance and exit together with a parking area.

Ard Gaoithe Business Park has undergone a major revamp of late having been bought out of receivership.

Glenconnor Developments is based in Piltown, County Kilkenny – the company directors are John and Tommy O'Shea who were also involved in the purchase of the business park.

A decision is due from Tipperary County Council by August 21st.
