New insurance research has revealed how much people are getting for whiplash claims.
The Personal Injuries Assessment Board says an average of 15-thousand-700 Euro is being for a neck injury.
Over the past 10 years payouts in 35 categories of injuries have fallen, while the same amount have risen.
Whiplash accounts for between 70 and 80 percent of all claims and it's feared higher compensation will mean higher insurance premiums for drivers.
