According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 432 people were waiting for a bed in the countries hospitals this morning – that's down from 509 yesterday.
University Hospital Waterford is among the worst affected, with 31 patients waiting for a bed.
South Tipp General today has 26 patients on trolleys today while there are 21 at University Hospital Limerick.
Last week, overcrowding reached a record high of 612 patients.
