As well as electing a new Cathaoirleach for the County Council the Municipal Districts have also been meeting to choose new leaders with just Tipperary – Cashel left of the five to hold their AGM on Monday.
The outgoing Mayor of Clonmel Borough District Councillor Martin Lonergan has added his voice to the ranks of those still opposed to the merger.
However the Independent representative admits it is starting to come together.
