Efforts to encourage young people from Roscrea to get involved in clubs and youth groups are to be stepped up today.
Colaiste Phobail is hosting an exhibition day for clubs in the town to try and attract young people to get more involved in local groups, while there will also be information for parents and members of the community who want to become mentors for young people.
It's all part of the campaign led by the local residents to battle back against anti-social behaviour, drug abuse and high unemployment levels in the town.
School Principal Ger O'Brien says the aim of today is to showcase all the activities for young people in Roscrea.
He also feels that criticism of youth activities at some of the recent public meetings in the town are unwarranted as there are plenty of clubs for people.
