The Barack Obama Plaza on the M7 near Moneygall has taken the “Best Customer Service” category at the Irish Forecourt & Convenience Retailer Awards.
Meanwhile the owner of the facility, Pat McDonagh has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the organisation for his work in the industry which has spanned the last four decades.

As well the Barack Obama Plaza Pat McDonagh also owns the recently opened Tipperary Town Plaza.
Mr. McDonagh has also announced plans to open three new motorway service plazas over the next two years at Junction 16 on the M6 in County Galway and on the M18 in Ennis and Limerick.
