The executive of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation will meet on Saturday to discuss any progress in the current round of talks.
SIPTU nursing and midwifery representatives are also taking part in the negotiations, and organiser Paul Bell says it's challenging for all involved.

The latest report from the INMO shows Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded with 31 people waiting for a bed.
South Tipp General in Clonmel is among the busiest today with 26 patients being cared for on trolleys around the Emergency Department or overflow areas of wards.
