Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan says he and the Northern Secretary Theresa Villiers spoke of the need to protect the victims of violence.
They're now meeting with Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald and the north's first and deputy ministers Peter Robinson and Martin McGuiness to discuss cross-border crime.
