The Dublin Airport Authority today said they are moving ahead with plans to build the new runway at a cost of 320 million euro.
They had previously been granted planning permission – but shelved plans in 2007 because of the economic downturn.
Kevin Toland, Chief Executive of the DAA says the new runway is critical – not just for Dublin airport – but also for the overall development of the economy.
