Nenagh's parish priest has been appointed the Vicar General for the Bishop of Killaloe.
Bishop Fintan Monaghan, whose diocese takes in 13 Tipperary parishes has appointed Fr Des Hillary to the role
Fr Hillary was the Diocesean Administrator for over 12 months before Bishop Monaghan took over.
The Vicar General has the same executive power throughout the whole diocese as that of the Bishop
