Mother of two in court over Roscrea death

45 year old Inga Ozolina as appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a man in Roscrea at the weekend

The 40 year old man, who lived at the same address as the accused, was found with stab wounds in The Malthouse apartment complex in the early hours of Sunday morning…he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Garda Stewart Beattie gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution of Ms Ozolina at Nenagh Garda Station at 6.12 yesterday evening. 

When charged, Ms Ozolina replied “I disagree with the charge. I did not assault this man. We did have a fight, I acted in self defence. 

At Thurles District Court today, Judge Elizabeth McGrath granted bail, despite Garda objections, to Ms Ozolina on her own bond of €1000 cash plus an independent surety of €5000, two thousand of which is to be lodged in cash. 

The case is due back before Nenagh district court on the 22nd of December
