After 19 days on the run a barn owl which disappeared during the recent Clonmel Show has been found safe and well.
Optimus was part of an education display by Munster Falconry when he became startled and took flight.
There was huge concern for the four year old as it had been hand fed from a hatchling so didn't hunt, while its lead was also still attached leading to fears it could get entangled.
However Optimus was located safe and well at Clonmel Racecourse in recent days – with the lead still in tow while he'd also put on a few pounds!!
