Marked improvement in Tipperary road safety.

66 days into 2015, Tipperary's roads remain fatality free compared with four lives lost during the same period last year.

Nationally 25 people have been killed on the nation’s roads so far this year, a reduction of 3 from 2014.

Head of the Traffic Corps in the Tipperary Garda Division, Inspector Eddie Golden says the road safety message seems to be getting through to drivers around the county but he's warning motorists to pay heed to weather alerts when they are issued.

He says caution is needed every time you get behind the wheel saying the message should be “Alert Today – Alive Tomorrow”.
