Man rescued from Comeragh Mountains

He had been camping with a friend near Mahon Falls last night, and was injured when he fell into a ravine early this morning.

The joint rescue operation involved Gardai, the South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association, the HSE and the Coastguard Helicopter from Waterford.

The Clonmel based SEMRA was involved in the rescue and their spokesperson Jimmy Barry says the man is suspected to have suffered a back injury.
