Gardaí investigating a fatal hit-and-run on the outskirts of Carrick on Suir have arrested a man.
The 53 year old was detained yesterday evening in connection with the two car collision on the N24.
The crash happened at around 1am yesterday morning on the Piltown Bypass near Fiddown, when a car collided with another car.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene….it's understood he was living in Carrick on Suir.
The second vehicle left the scene.
A 53 year old man was arrested yesterday and is still being held at Thomastown Garda Station for questioning.
