Majority of parents not in favour of children’s hospital site

Ninety-two per cent of parents are opposed to the new site for the National Children's Hospital, according to parenting website MummyPages.ie.

A survey among their members said that a majority are against the proposed site at St James' Hospital in Dublin.

They said that the most important factors when deciding a site were accessibility from around the country, potential to build parental accomodation nearby as well as parking & traffic facilities.

Parents on the site also said they were opposed to the €50 fee to make a planning application objection against the proposed site.
