Long awaited works on a stretch of road between Ardcroney and Borrisokane is finally going ahead.
For years locals have complained about the N52 at Congar with politicians lobbying for decades to have the section of road upgraded.
The project includes the re-alignment of a 2.2km section of the N52 starting approximately 1.5km north of Ardcroney.
A considerable amount of work has already been completed with Mayor of North Tipperary Councillor Michael O’Meara hoping that work can be completed as quickly as possible.
