It’s feared the cost of flooding in North Tipperary will run into millions of Euro.

Overall it’s estimated that half a million Euro worth of damage was caused across the county – with over €200,000 of this in North Tipp alone.

However councillors believe the final bill could run into millions once the full extent of the damage is assessed.

The council has submitted an estimate for clean up costs and Nenagh District Director Marcus O'Connor says they will be looking for extra government funding if required.
