Istanbul attacker believed to have fought for the Islamic State group in Syria

There are reports that the Istanbul attacker fought for the Islamic State group in Syria.

Turkish police believe 28-year-old Lakhe Mashrapov killed 39 people when he opened fire in a nightclub on New Year's Eve.

He's thought to be a highly trained solider, originally from Kyrgyzstan, and is still on the run today.

A wide scale manhunt is underway.
