Irish Universities fall in International rankings

Fianna Fáil is blaming lack of government investment – after all of Ireland's universities, bar one, fell in the international rankings.

The latest QS World University Rankings show NUI Galway is the only college to move up the chart; it's now in 249th place.

The rankings of over 4 thousand third level institutions puts M.I.T. in Boston at number one, followed by Stanford and Harvard.

Fianna Fáil's Education spokesperson Thomas Byrne says the third level system here needs an investment of 600 million euro.
