Interruptions to Holycross Water Supply Continue

Some parts of the locality have been without a supply since last Friday.

Local resident David says the interruptions happen on a regular basis and feels the repairs being carried out by Irish Water are not acceptable.

He says he’s spending large amounts buying bottled water.

Local County Councillor Micheál Lowry says the pipe network is under pressure due to increased demand on the supply from new houses in recent years.

He agrees the temporary repairs being carried out by Irish Water have failed to resolve the issue.
