Incident at Poolbeg Incinerator under investigation

The General Manager of Poolbeg Incinerators managing company says the plant is ‘absolutely’ safe.

It’s after an accidental leak of lime that left 11 workers in hospital.

Two of them remain in St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin, but should be released this afternoon.

The HSA is carrying out an investigation on site and all testing of the facility has stopped.
