ICS reverses decision to cut funding to child cancer victims

In a statement today it says it will maintain the grants for the families of children with cancer – a move which will cost around €200,000 a year.

Yesterday the charity said it would have to stop paying the thousand-euro grants to patients because it no longer had the resources to do so.

Head of Advocacy at the Irish Cancer Society, and Nenagh native, Kathleen O'Meara says they are committed to finding the funds for families dealing with child cancer.
