Ian Bailey High Court action continues.

Ian Bailey has told the High Court he pulled back from writing articles about Sophie Toscan du Plantier's murder over concerns the story was having a 'profound effect' on the community in West Cork.

The court's been hearing that the former freelance journalist wrote about the French film producer's violent death for The Sunday Tribune and The Star.

Under cross examination Mr Bailey says he didn't inform either newspaper of his growing apprehension that he was considered a suspect in the case.

The 57 year old with an address in Schull, Co Cork is suing the State and Garda Commissioner for alleged wrongful arrest on suspicion of murdering the 38 year old at her holiday home in December 1996
