There are hopes that a number of new businesses will be trading in Clonmel's Market Place by Christmas.
The area near the town centre has been decimated by closures in recent years due in the main to extremely high commercial rates.
Following a recent review the rates have now been reduced significantly there, bringing them in line with other shopping areas.
President of Clonmel Chamber Mark Small sees great potential for Market Place as part of an overall shopping experience for the town.
