High Court to hear more on Moore St case

The High Court ruled last month that the wider Moore St area should be designated a national monument.

The case was brought by Colm Moore on behalf of the 1916 Relatives Association, after the Heritage Minister ordered that only numbers 14-17 be protected.

The Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will have its first opportunity to respond to the judgment today.

A spokesperson for the Department and Minister Heather Humphrey's said that the Minister's legal assessment of the ruling is continuing and she is still considering the 399 page judgment.
