UHL most overcrowded hospital in the country

660 people are being treated on trolleys at hospitals across the country.

According to the INMO, 548 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 112 are in wards.

University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipp – is the worst affected facility, with 91 patients on trolleys.

That’s followed by 76 at Cork University Hospital and 66 at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel has 16 patients without a bed today.
