Overcrowding at hospitals serving Tipp continues

There are nearly 60 people waiting for a bed in hospitals serving the Premier County.

University Hospital Limerick which serves the North of the county is the second busiest in the country with 39 patients waiting while South Tipp General in Clonmel has 20 waiting. 14 of which are on trolleys and 6 are in overflow areas of wards.

Cork University Hospital is the busiest hospital in the country today with 40 people without a bed.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there is a total of 388 waiting on a bed today.
