The new 50 bed St Conlon’s Nursing Home will be located beside Nenagh Hospital.
The HSE has secured a 3.5 acre site at Tyone for the new unit.

It will double the bed capacity of St Conlon’s while also providing a range of other services including badly needed respite and rehabilitation beds and facilities.
Labour’s Health spokesperson – Tipperary TD Alan Kelly – says the new nursing home will be in a perfect location.
In the space of a few years St Conlon’s has gone from fears about its possible closure to a €9 million investment.
The project will now go to the design and planning stage over the coming months.
Alan Kelly says when the unit is up and running the HSE will put the current St Conlon’s site to good use.
