In excess of 500 patients without a bed today

516 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country today.

INMO figures show University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 98 patients on trolleys.

That’s followed by 62 at Cork University Hospital, and 30 at Sligo University Hospital.

TUH in Clonmel has 25 patients without a bed today.
