Over 400 patients waiting for beds

Nearly 80 patients are without a bed at hospitals serving Tipperary today.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded in the country, with 43 people on trolleys in the Emergency Department and in overflow areas of wards. There are 34 patients waiting at South Tipp General in Clonmel.

Galway University Hospital is the second most overcrowded with 40 people in need of a bed.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation are reporting that there are 417 patients waiting for a bed at hospitals across the country today.
