Almost 25% of patients left waiting for a hospital bed today are at University Hospital Limerick.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation are reporting 510 people who have been admitted to hospitals across the country are being cared for on trolleys or chairs.

117 of these are in UHL where the Emergency Department covers North Tipp, Limerick and Clare.

INMO staff at TUH in Clonmel say there are 7 patients without a bed there today while there is no overcrowding reported at Nenagh Hospital.
