GSOC's annual report for 2015 shows there were over 120 grievances lodged relating to policing in the Premier County.

In all there were just under 2,000 complaints to GSOC about Garda conduct across the country last year which was a drop of 11%.

Of these over 1,100 were actually admissible.

124 complaints related to the Tipperary Garda Division which compared with 191 in the Premier County in 2014 – a drop of 67 or 35%.

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission report shows the types of allegations were similar to previous years, with about one-third relating to abuse of authority and one-third to neglect of duty.

The 10th annual report from GSOC shows that with over 17 hundred complaints the Dublin Metropolitan Regions topped the list.

Outside of the capital Kilkenny-Carlow, Galway, Donegal and Limerick were the Garda divisions with the highest numbers of allegations.

Meanwhile, of the 52 matters referred to GSOC nationally last year, four were in Tipperary – this is twice as many as in 2014.
