The arrival of First Data to the Premier County has taken a major step forward.
Planning permission has been granted for works at their chosen location in North Tipperary.
First Data announced their plans to set up an R&D centre in Nenagh last January.
They intend to create 300 new positions at the Springfort Business Park, Stereame…with the prospect of further job creation in the future.
The company is a global leader in e-technology and solutions serves approximately 6 million business locations and 4000 financial institutions in 118 countries around the globe.
The CAO of First Data Tom Higgins met with local business representatives in Nenagh earlier this year where he said the company was committed to a long term future in the county.
Tipperary County Council has granted permission to the IDA for alterations and additions to the building at Stereame together with an expanded car park.
Hiring will commence later this year with the facility set to be up and running in 2017.
