The OPW is progressing plans to improve facilities at Templemore Garda College
Since the restoration of Garda recruitment, hundreds of students are undergoing training in Templemore…with 800 recruits due to enter the college in 2017.

The issue was raised in the Dáil during Leader's Questions by Independent Michael Lowry who said there is a serious problem with a lack of space at the Mid Tipp College with more bedrooms, classrooms and parking needed
Deputy Lowry said improved facilities are needed badly to sustain the college.
Taking Leader's Questions, Minister Leo Varadkar said the Office of Public Works is at an advanced stage of planning for improvements.
