Gardaí warn public over modified vehicles

As part of Tipp FM's road safety awareness campaign members of the force have been highlighting some of the defects they come across when examining cars which may have been involved in a crash.

Garda Eamon Rahilly is a Public Service Vehicle Inspector – his duties also include attending the scene of serious or fatal crashes while he also examines vehicles which may be dangerously defective.

Speaking on Tipp Today he said the main problems with “modified vehicles” tend to be tyres, steering and brakes.
