Nicola Kenny from Kennedy Park in Thurles was the back seat passenger in a car which had stopped on the M8 between Cahir and Cashel shortly before 12.30 that afternoon.
It was struck by a lorry on the northbound lane – the 26 year old suffered fatal injuries.
Inspector Eddie Golden of Cahir Garda Station says they want to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicles or witnessed the crash to come forward.
