He's the second fatality – a 28-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead that night.
The collision took place at around 7:30 on Tuesday evening on Hyde Road and detectives want to hear from witnesses.

The driver of the van and his passenger, a five-year-old girl, were also taken to hospital however their injuries are thought to be minor.
