The suspects, who were armed with knives, entered the newsagent's shop on Bank Place, shortly after 8 o'clock…they threatened the staff member who was working at the time and made off with the contents of the till.
Both men fled on foot…one is described as wearing black gloves, a wine puffy sleeveless jacket with a grey hoodie underneath while the second man wore a navy hoodie, navy tracksuit pants with a blue stripe on the side and black runners.

Detective Inspector Paddy O'Callaghan from Tipp town Garda station says the men left the shop and ran up a side street.
