Significant risks remain at Portlaoise Hospital and a decision on its future must be made.
That’s according to the health watchdog HIQA, which has published a review of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.
The review followed the deaths of a number of babies at the hospital.
While maternity services have improved significantly, the Intensive Care Unit doesn’t meet minimum requirements.
