A number of events are already planned to mark the occasion in the Premier County with projects in areas like Thurles, Clonmel, Tipp Town, Ardfinnan, Newport and Roscrea.
Extra funding has now been made available for those planning to organise events to mark the 100th anniversary of the Rising.
