Irish Water has spent 465 million Euro fitting water meters to houses right across the country – around 58% of properties in Ireland have the monitors installed at this stage.
A meeting of the Oireachtas Committee on Water Services has heard that no more meters will be installed after January 31st next
However Tipperary Independent TD Seamus Healy says the millions already spent on installing meters could have been put to much better use.
