Four people rescued by Lough Derg RNLI

The Lough Derg RNLI were called to the rescue when a boat carrying four people ran aground…

The lifeboat was called for help around 1.30 yesterday afternoon…when the three crew found the 34 foot cruiser at the junction of Scariff Bay and Parker’s Point the four people on board were safe and unharmed and wearing their lifejackets.

The boat wasn't damaged and crew took it off the rocks and into safe water…following some safety checks it continued on its journey

Peter Kennedy, Deputy Launching Authority at Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat has advised boat users to bring charts out with them and be careful as water levels are low at the moment.
