Michael Noonan insists appealing the Apple tax ruling is the right thing to do.
It's after a European Commissioner said he was “surprised” Ireland was turning down a 13 billion euro tax payment.
Pierre Muscovici – who's the economics commissioner – said the money could be used for social programmes.
But Minister Noonan says he's not surprised at the commissioner's comments.
