The call follows the amalgamation of the Carers Association and Caring for Carers to form a new body called Family Carers Ireland.
Local area manager Richie Molloy says going forward the group will have a much stronger voice for family carers with the new organisation representing over 200,000 family carers nationally.
He wants carers to ensure their voice is heard by those seeking election in the Tipperary constituency.
