Environment Minister critical of “darker” elements of water protests.

Environment Minister Tipperary's Alan Kelly has branded as “disgusting and disgraceful” some of the comments creeping into the water charges controversy.

Speaking in the wake of bomb threats on his Nenagh office yesterday the Portroe native praised his staff for how they handled the matter stating nobody deserved to be subjected to such an incident

Minister Kelly told Tipp Today that in conjunction with Gardaí procedures are being put into place to review security.

And while accepting there's genuine anger over water charges and acknowledging the right to protest – he feels there's some very dark commentary by certain elements.
